El Sanatorio Adventista en conjunto con AdventHealth realizaron atención médica gratuita y entrega de medicamentos a cerca de 500 pacientes en 3 comunidades del País.
Toda la actividad realizada por ambas instituciones fue gratuita, como un servicio brindado de forma sistemática por la red de instituciones médicas adventistas a nivel mundial.
Adventhealth es un Sistema de Salud Adventista de los Estados Unidos, el año pasado se firmó un convenio de cooperación entre ambas instituciones y este año enviaron a un grupo de profesionales de la salud provenientes del estado de Texas para este proyecto.
Las atenciones se realizaron del 17 al 26 de abril empezando por las comunidades de Filadelfia y Rio Verde del Departamento de Boquerón y concluyendo en la ciudad de Colonia Iguazú.
Se contó con las siguientes especialidades médicas: Clínica médica, cirugía, pediatría, cardiología, ginecología y alergia. Además, tuvo la presencia de un gran equipo de enfermeros. En la ciudad de Filadelfia se realizaron e informaron electrocardiogramas y ecocardiogramas en el Policlínico Municipal. En Rio Verde además de la atención médica habitual, se realizaron certificados médicos a los alumnos de la Escuela Reach y en la ciudad de Colonia Iguazú se realizó atención médica en el Colegio Adventista del Este Paraguayo además de dictarse charlas de primeros auxilios a los alumnos del colegio.
El viaje concluyó con la satisfacción de seguir honrando la vida y sirviendo a la comunidad.
